Dear Redwoods Supporter,
Living in California, most of us know what it’s like to wake up to an eerie orange haze on the horizon. The sadness of telling your kids they can’t play outside. The stress of constantly checking your phone for evacuation alerts, or worrying about the people and places you love.
Climate change and a century of forest mismanagement got us into this mess. But our actions this November can help get us out.
YES on 4 is our opportunity to prevent devastating wildfires, protect our magnificent redwood forests, and build a brighter future for all Californians.

Prop 4 is a $10 billion climate resilience bond that would safeguard our communities and natural resources. $1.5 billion will go directly towards wildfire prevention, including:
* Improving disaster response: Prop 4 would give firefighters the tools they need to save homes and lives. That means upgraded equipment, better emergency communications, and improved evacuation routes.
* Expanding wildfire buffers: Prop 4 would help create buffer zones around vulnerable communities and treasured natural lands. It would also help homeowners make their properties more resistant to wildfire damage.
* Restoring healthy forests: Prop 4 would help build wildfire resilience in critical forests, including the coast redwoods and giant sequoias. That means future fires that are far less intense—and less dangerous.
Yes on Prop 4 tackles the threat of megafires today, before the damage becomes too costly tomorrow.
One UCLA study found that 10 years of wildfire smoke has already caused $400 billion in economic losses in California.
Or consider this summer’s Park Fire in Northern California: It burned nearly 430,000 acres and destroyed countless homes—and it could have been prevented by a $10K controlled burn outside Chico!
Simply put, Prop 4 is an investment we can’t afford to pass up.
Every single county in California has seen a megafire, and it has put many of us through the wringer.
But this is our past. It doesn’t have to be our future.
Together, right now, we can protect our families, our communities, and our beloved redwood forests by voting YES ON PROP 4.
TAKE ACTION
