Dear John,

Did you know two-thirds of employers don’t have a formal workplace policy in place to prevent and address domestic and sexual violence

? And yet:

More than 10% of workers reported they experienced domestic violence within the past year.

Nearly 7 million women and 3 million men reported experiencing sexual violence by a workplace-related perpetrator.

According to one survey, 38 percent of respondents said sexual harassment experiences contributed to them leaving their jobs, and 37 percent said it disrupted their career advancement

To respond, Futures Without Violence works in partnership with employers, labor organizations, workers and survivors to advance economic justice and create workplaces free from gender-based violence and harassment.

Our Workplace Resource Center

(Workplaces Respond) provides free resources, training, and technical assistance to employers, workers, and advocates to prevent and respond to domestic violence. Our technical assistance

is open to any type of employer to help develop and audit workplace policies and practices aimed at preventing and responding to domestic and sexual violence, harassment, and stalking impacting the workplace.
