Hi John, it’s James O’Brien here. I won’t take up too much of your time. You’ve doubtless got more important things to do than read an email from me. But do I have an important request: Like many others, I spent my Monday evening watching HOPE not hate’s new documentary, UNDERCOVER: Exposing the Far Right. It is quite extraordinary: devastating, gripping, and extremely moving. In short, it really knocked me sideways. I have found new depths of empathy and respect for the staff, activists, and experts who put themselves in harm’s way to expose hate and division –– and the charlatans and extremists like “Tommy Robinson” who peddle it. I know you appreciate what we’re up against, John. Only a few months ago racist riots ripped through our nation; ordinary people radicalised by misinformation online and in our media. More people need to understand the far right if we have any chance of challenging them – their tactics, their game plan, their lies. So if you’ve seen the documentary already, could you share this on social media to encourage your friends to watch it too? We cannot be smug or complacent – everyone in Britain needs to see this film:
