How do we orient in this moment as we calibrate our compass always toward liberation?
This October has brought multiple moments of crisis in convergence: the anniversary of one year of escalating genocide in Gaza, the deadly floods and record-breaking hurricanes brought by climate change and corporate greed, and the impending election of the next US president. And yet, the compass for our work remains unchanged.
How do we orient in this moment as we calibrate our compass always toward liberation?
How do we navigate uncertainty and converging timelines of unfathomable suffering and despair?
How do we cultivate hope and connection in these troubled times?
We certainly do not have the answers, but we know we cannot find them alone.
Media makers, artists, thinkers, writers, poets, and organizers have been grappling with this moment. We hope that as our voices connect through dialogue, we can expand our view and capacity to hold complexity, grief, rage, and love – while our longing for more just worlds propels us forward.
