This week, we shared Beatrice’s story to show you just how far your support can go, and how much it means to an animal who is suffering.

During Beatrice’s time with us, our team of experts provided her with specialized care to bring her back to a healthy weight. She then continued her journey and healing process in a foster home with her foster caregiver, Keliese.

Keliese and Beatrice spent six months together. During this time, Beatrice continued to get stronger, healthier and more trusting of people as her bond with Keliese deepened. After someone inquired about adopting Beatrice from the ASPCA Adoption Center, Keliese then made the very easy decision to officially adopt the resilient dog.

“ After all that time, I didn’t want to let her go,” Keliese said.

Thanks to Keliese and everyone who supported her recovery, Beatrice is now living a safe, happy and healthy life in a loving home.

But sadly, that’s not the case for countless animals nationwide who are still looking for their safe space and the love and care they so desperately need.
