Who wouldn’t want a Mom who marches for climate justice?
I’m beyond grateful for my Mother, Anne - she has been and still is a pivotal force in my life and helped shape me into the person I am today.
Before her retirement, Anne was a civil rights attorney. I grew up watching her fight for people and pushing for a more equitable and just society. Her work taught me the difference between doing what’s right and doing what’s easy and inspired me to be a champion for the progressive policies I push today.
Anne raised me and my sister, somehow made sure I got to cross country practice on time and beat back discrimination. I’m still amazed by all she accomplished.
So today, let’s celebrate all the incredible women out there and the worlds they have helped shape.
Love you, Mom!
