Harris Supports Mass Amnesty for All Illegal Immigrants

Blaze Media: Vice President Kamala Harris admitted during an interview with MSNBC that she wants mass amnesty for the millions of illegal immigrants who have come to the United States during the Biden-Harris administration. Telemundo host Julio Vaqueiro grilled Harris on her plans for addressing the massive issue, a longtime weak spot for Democrats even before the border crisis started when Joe Biden became president (Blaze Media). Trump War Room: HOST: Democrats aren’t talking about a “pathway to citizenship” (MASS AMNESTY) anymore. KAMALA: “I am! I am talking about it!” HOST: “We’re talking about mass deportations.” KAMALA: “I’m not talking about…” HOST: “What’s your stance there?” KAMALA: Mass amnesty (X).

NYT Fails to Disclose Their Correspondent in Gaza Worked for Hamas
Free Press: On October 7, 2024—one year after Hamas invaded Israel, murdering 1,200 people—The New York Times published an episode of its flagship podcast, The Daily. It featured two men on opposite sides of the conflict: an Israeli man who’s moved from hotel to hotel after Hamas destroyed his community, and a father trying to survive in Gaza. But while the Israeli man was described in full, the Palestinian man’s identity was shrouded in secrecy. The New York Times simply referred to him as “Hussein, a Palestinian man living in Gaza.” The host, Sabrina Tavernise, did not ask Hussein any follow-up questions when he revealed that, unlike most Gazans right now, he has “a good income” and is able to pay about $1,000 a month for rent. And she let him explain—uninterrupted—about why the war ravages on. But what Tavernise did not say is that “Hussein” is Hussein Owda, whose name is listed in the show notes on audio platforms that host the podcast. And what The New York Times does not reveal is that Owda’s background suggests links to Hamas. A simple Google search turns up his LinkedIn page, where he publicly lists an eight-year stretch working for the Municipality of Gaza, which sources told me is controlled by Hamas; a new job at the controversy-riddled United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (also known as UNRWA); and an eight-month stint at Muslim Hands, a nonprofit exposed by the UK’s Telegraph in 2014 for having “close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.” Hamas was originally established in the 1980s as the local Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood (Free Press). Eyal Yakoby: Olivia Reingold has revealed how the NYT, NBC News, and Al Jazeera all used the same man as a source for what’s happening as an average citizen in Gaza. Yet, none mentioned that the same man  worked for Hamas. Mainstream media has been whitewashing Hamas this whole time (X).

Doctor Refuses to Publish Findings of $10 Million Taxpayer-Funded Study of How Puberty Blockers Harm Children
J.K. Rowling: ‘We must not publish a study that says we’re harming children because people who say we’re harming children will use the study as evidence that we’re harming children, which might make it difficult for us to continue harming children’ (X). New York Post: A prominent doctor and trans rights advocate admitted she deliberately withheld publication of a $10 million taxpayer-funded study on the effect of puberty blockers on American children — after finding no evidence that they improve patients’ mental health. Dr. Johanna Olson-Kennedy told the New York Times that she believes the study would be “weaponized” by critics of transgender care for kids, and that the research could one day be used in court to argue “we shouldn’t use blockers.” Critics – including one of Olson-Kennedy’s fellow researchers on the study — said the decision flies in the face of research standards and deprives the public of “really important” science in a field where Americans remain firmly divided (New York Post).

US Confirms North Korean Soldiers Are in Russia
ABC: The U.S. has evidence that North Korean troops are in Russia, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin confirmed Wednesday. “What exactly they’re doing” remains to be seen, Austin told journalists while in Rome. “These are things that we need to sort out.” Ukraine and South Korea have said North Korean soldiers traveled to Russia for training ahead of planned deployment to fight on battlefields in eastern Ukraine and western Russia. Austin said Wednesday that the U.S. would “continue to pull this thread” to establish whether Pyongyang can be considered a co-belligerent in the conflict…South Korea’s National Intelligence Service told lawmakers at a Wednesday closed-door briefing that around 3,000 North Korean soldiers are believed to have been sent to Russia so far, with some 10,000 expected to be deployed by December (ABC). Just the News: Still, he warned that North Korean troops fighting for Russian in Ukraine would be a “very serious issue.” The supply of troops, if indeed true, would be an escalation in North Korea’s support for Russia in its war on Ukraine. North Korea is already supplying advanced short-range ballistic missiles to Russia, which invaded neighboring Ukraine in February 2022 (Just the News).

Columbia Jourunalism Review: Mariel Garza, the editorials editor of the Los Angeles Times, resigned on Wednesday, after the newspaper’s owner had blocked the editorial board’s plans to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for president. “I am resigning because I want to make it clear that I am not okay with us being silent,” Garza told me in a phone conversation. “In dangerous times, honest people need to stand up. This is how I’m standing up.” On October 11, Patrick Soon-Shiong, who bought the newspaper for $500 million in 2018, informed the paper’s editorial board that the Times would not be making an endorsement for president. 60 Minutes Refuses to Share Full Kamala Harris Interview Transcript With Trump
CNN: Lawyers for CBS News are rebuffing a legal threat from Donald Trump over the network’s “60 Minutes” interview with Kamala Harris, telling the former president his demands are based on a “faulty premise.” In a blunt letter to Trump’s legal counsel, the network on Wednesday said the First Amendment “fiercely protects” the editorial judgments made by “60 Minutes,” the network’s flagship newsmagazine. “For that reason,” CBS said, Trump has no legal basis to sue, “and I note that you do not identify one,” the letter from CBS News senior Vice President for legal affairs Gayle C. Sproul stated. “Nor is there any legal basis for your demand that we provide you with the unedited transcript of the interview, which we decline to do” (CNN).

Families Look to Impose $50 Billion in Tariffs on China Because of Fentanyl Crisis
Center Square: Families whose loved ones died from fentanyl overdoses have petitioned the office of U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai, seeking an investigation into China’s role in the U.S. synthetic opioid crisis. The families are seeking trade countermeasures, including tariffs of at least $50 billion on Chinese merchandise. The petition under the Trade Act of 1974 calls for an investigation “to address the unjustified and unreasonable acts, policies, and practices of the government of the People’s Republic of China and PRC entities concerning the production and shipment of illicit fentanyl and fentanyl precursors that burden or restrict U.S. commerce,” according to the 132-page petition (Center Square).

AOC Mad That Donald Trump Worked at McDonald’s
Fox News: Prominent Democrats and liberal media pundits aren’t lovin’ it. Former President Trump served french fries to customers through the drive-thru window at McDonald’s on Sunday afternoon in Pennsylvania as thousands of supporters surrounded the restaurant. In the ensuing days, Trump critics slammed the event as “staged” despite multiple instances of Harris-Walz campaign events being similarly pre-planned, such as an August visit to Primanti Bros. in Moon, Pa., and the viral footage of Harris searching for Doritos in a gas station. “Squad” leader Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., suggested Trump was “making fun” of Americans with the McDonald’s event during a Harris campaign event in Pennsylvania (Fox News). End Wokeness: AOC is crying that Trump had the nerve to “put on a McDonald’s costume” (X). Townhall: “They’re not trying to empathize with us. They are making fun of us,” she added. “Donald Trump thinks that people who work at McDonald’s are a joke” (Townhall).

McDonald’s in Bucks County PA Hires Private Security in Wake of Threats From Democrats
Daily Caller: The Bucks County McDonald received threatening phone calls and social media messages following Trump’s visit, Jim Worthington, the leader of Pennsylvania’s delegation at the Republican National Convention and one of the key organizers of the Trump McDonald’s visit, told the DCNF. As a precaution to protect his employees, the franchise’s owner Derek Giacomantonio has retained the private security force he’d hired in the lead up to the event, said Worthington, who was communicating on behalf of Giacomantonio (Daily Caller). DC Draino: The McDonald’s where Trump served french fries in PA has now hired armed guards to protect employees who are being threatened by angry Democrats. These people are the true threats to democracy (X).
