Happy Mother’s Day to all of the wonderful moms in our community — even though Mother’s Day will look a bit different this year. Lauren and I will be spending some quality time together over FaceTime instead of our usual tradition of dining and relaxing together!
I’m sure many of you know the pride and gratitude you feel for your child’s accomplishments. For me, it’s watching her day in and day out as she serves our community in Congress. I couldn’t be prouder of all of the amazing things she’s accomplished in the past year. From having three bills signed into law to co-founding the Black Maternal Health Caucus, her work is changing lives for people here in the 14th and nationwide.
This Mother’s Day, I’m especially grateful for all of the work Lauren has done to help our community through this pandemic and beyond — staying true to our values, she’s continuing to support working families and fight for quality, affordable healthcare.
Lauren is dedicated to solving problems and putting our neighbors first — I know she is because that’s how I raised her. And it’s what she’ll keep doing in Congress.
Our campaign is gearing up—and we’ll have a tough battle ahead of us. And I do hope you’ll join me in helping her prepare for the fight that’s coming this November.
