Hey John, As the hours to Election Day tick down, I’m spending more and more of my time frantically trying to connect with donors to account for every last cent of our budgeted expenses. The truth is: It feels like everybody is giving up on this campaign — but John, we can’t quit until the last ballot is cast. We have ads up on TV and online to make Josh’s case to voters, canvassers knocking on doors and making phone calls to ensure Democrats turn out, mailers being sent out with information about Josh’s positions, and more. None of this is free! We rely on our grassroots donors to fund all our outreach efforts in these critical final days. That puts the pressure on me, as our team’s Finance Director, to keep track of where we are and where we can raise a few more dollars.
