We’re not just working to elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz — we’re doing everything in our power to ensure that their administration is set up for success.

Kamala and Tim’s campaign is posting record fundraising numbers on its own, but every dollar counts when it comes to reaching the millions of voters that we’ll need to mobilize to make sure that Donald loses by a massive margin.

Having a landslide popular vote win does matter — it sends a message, confers greater political capital, and helps underscore the increasing absurdity of not settling presidential elections democratically. It also means we’d have a better chance of doing well down-ballot — taking over the House, and increasing our margin in the Senate, while also flipping state legislatures and governorships.

Remember, Republicans only need to win two seats to take back control of the Senate — and Democrats only need to flip four seats to win back the House. The races that will determine whether the two chambers of Congress are partners or adversaries to a Harris-Walz administration will be decided by how hard we push in this final stretch. I know we’re all worried about what will happen in the next 13 days and the uncertain weeks that will follow. It’s my hope that this will continue to be a country that settles its differences at the ballot box. Unfortunately, nobody in the Republican Party, including its leader, seems to feel the same way.

It will take all of us doing our part to ensure that they are not the victors come November 5th.
