Dear Friend of the Journal, The 2024 Presidential campaign season has been chaotic to say the least. As we draw close to November 5 and the end of the Biden administration, I’ve been pondering on what it means for the work we do at the Journal. But the bottom line is, regardless of who takes office, the fight to protect our planet must go on. The stakes on that front are getting higher by the day. Which means the need for sharp, in-depth journalism that keeps readers informed about critical climate and environmental issues has never been greater. No matter where the chips fall on Election Day, we will continue to expose the abuses of the powerful and celebrate the power of individuals making a difference in this world controlled by multinational corporations and undemocratic institutions. And to keep at it, we need your support. When you support Earth Island Journal, you help us continue to tell the stories of grassroots movements and social justice activists showing politicians that it is time for them to follow us.
