Tonight should have been the final presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump before Election Day. But while Kamala is ready for a rematch after last month’s debate – where she commanded the room from the second she came out and had Trump on the defense the entire night – Donald Trump declined the invitation.

I want to talk more about the lies we would’ve heard from Trump tonight – and why we have to defeat his brand of extremism in the states at the ballot box in less than two weeks. But first, I’m asking: will you rush $3 to the DGA before midnight to help elect Democratic governors? We need a huge rush of grassroots support in this final homestretch before Election Day – and I’m counting on you to step up.

Team, Donald Trump is unfit to be president – my friend Kamala Harris has prosecuted the case against Donald Trump’s dangerous vision since day one of her campaign, and she’s made it clear that we cannot go back to a Trump presidency.

Meanwhile, Trump has spent his time attacking Kamala’s successes, all while promoting his MAGA agenda that will take a wrecking ball to the progress we've made in the 21st century and bring us back to the 19th century.

But the plans that he’s touted on the campaign trail aren’t just hypothetical: MAGA extremists are already putting them into action nationwide. They’ve silenced speech and made it harder to cast a ballot. They’ve signed dangerous abortion bans into law. And they’ve even made our democracy a partisan issue.

I promise you, Democratic governors like myself are fighting back. We’re working to safeguard voting rights, protect abortion access, reduce gun violence, and deliver for the American people.

If we want to defeat Trump – and if we want to keep his MAGA partners, like gubernatorial candidates in North Carolina and New Hampshire, from undoing the progress Dem govs have made – then we all have a role to play in shaping that outcome. It won't just happen by itself.
