I’ve always said this would be an uphill battle, but that is an understatement. This is without a doubt the toughest and most expensive race I’ve ever run.
Now that we have less than 13 DAYS until Election Day, we’re facing the steepest climb yet.
The polls are extremely tight. In fact, two recent polls show me TIED in a DEAD HEAT with my opponent.
It is encouraging to see my Senate race so close heading into the final stretch, but in order to win, we must pull ahead NOW. We cannot do the impossible without giving it our all right now.
This news has lit a fire under my opponent and her national allies.
They never expected to have to work so hard in Maryland this year.
Now, they are trying everything they can to bring down my campaign–and they’ve resorted to the lowest, most negative form of politics as a result.
If you turn on the TV, odds are you know what I’m talking about.
They plaster the airwaves with lies and negative attacks, and expect Marylanders to buy it!
But you know I will never bow down to extremists in either party. And you know that I am in this race to solve the biggest problems we all face, not add to them.
With just 13 days until the final votes are counted, your immediate support WILL make a difference.
It will enable my campaign to not only continue operations, but also expand them when it matters most. We’ll be able to connect with more Marylanders, have more conversations about the most important issues we’re facing, and turn out voters to the polls on Election Day.

When I launched my campaign for the U.S. Senate, I did so with a deep resolve to maintain the leadership style and principles that guided me during my eight years as governor.
Fifty years ago, my father, Maryland Congressman Larry Hogan Sr. made a tough decision. He became the first Republican to come out for the impeachment of President Nixon. He put aside party politics and his own personal considerations and stepped up to do the right thing for Maryland and the nation.
Today, Washington is completely broken because that kind of leadership and willingness to put country over party has become far too rare. But it’s not in my nature to sit back and watch the dysfunction continue without doing what I can to roll up my sleeves and get to work.
I’m under no illusion this will be an easy road. But I’m no stranger to uphill battles, and I know I can’t do it without your support.
I don't aspire to be a United States senator. I don’t need a title and I don’t need a job, but I’m more concerned than ever about the direction of the country and I have become more convinced that I can make a difference by taking the approach and style of leadership I had during my eight years as governor to Washington.
