If we don’t win the Senate next month, it will be very challenging to confirm Supreme Court justices and codify Roe v. Wade. It will be difficult to stop Senate Republicans from giving tax breaks to billionaires, making cuts to affordable health care, and passing a national abortion ban.

And it will be very hard to win the Senate without Colin and Debbie.

Larry Sabato says Republicans are slightly favored to win the Senate, but Democrats are still in the game. If we’re going to overcome the odds, then we have to be competitive all over the map -- and that includes in red-to-blue contests like Colin’s and Debbie’s.

It’ll be hard but not impossible. Colin is polling within two points of Ted Cruz, and Debbie is polling within a point of Rick Scott. 

The fact is we need resources if we’re going to win the tough, close, and expensive races that are key to winning the majority. With money, we can win -- but without it, winning is much harder. That’s the hard truth.
