Each year, one special day is dedicated to honor moms around the world: Mother’s Day. Though this year may seem different in the midst of the global health crisis, mothers across the globe are working even harder to support their families despite experiencing hardships every single day. At Rise Against Hunger, we want to continue celebrating moms who provide brighter futures for their children against all odds.

As a single mother, Andrea searched for a safe place to raise her two daughters, Isabella and Maria. Living in an unsafe and impoverished community, she faced challenges with access to nutritious food and support for her family. After finding a safe haven to call home in Colombia, Andrea and her daughters began receiving Rise Against Hunger meals. Today, Isabella, age 6, and Maria, age 2, are healthy, have more energy and are living in better conditions.

During times of uncertainty, we strive to meet the needs of families like Andrea’s who are counting on us more than ever before. In honor of Andrea and mothers like her everywhere, please join us to empower women worldwide this Mother’s Day.
