Governor Youngkin’s administration wrongfully purged thousands of voters from the voter rolls, targeting people they claimed had unclear citizenship status. But let’s be clear — this is just another dirty MAGA tactic to suppress votes. They know that when people turn out to vote, Democrats win.

Now, the DOJ is suing to get these voters reinstated because Youngkin’s actions have stripped thousands of lawfully voting citizens of their rights. This isn’t about “election integrity” — if it were, Youngkin wouldn’t have withdrawn Virginia from the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC), a bipartisan program that ensures accurate voter rolls. This is about suppressing votes to ensure MAGA control.

As Gerry said: “Governor Youngkin’s voter purges are Trumpian politics at its worst. Voter fraud, particularly as it relates to citizenship, is exceedingly rare in Virginia. The Governor’s purges, on the other hand, have removed from the voter rolls thousands of lawfully voting citizens of the Commonwealth.”
