Hi John, it's Heather Williams, the President of the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, and I have to say: Kansas is one of the most consequential states in the country for state legislative races this year!

We have an incredible opportunity in Kansas to break the Republican supermajority in both the State House and Senate, build Democratic power, and protect Governor Kelly's veto.

From protecting reproductive freedom to ensuring education funding and even enacting gun safety legislation and protecting LGBTQ+ rights, your state representatives have more control over your everyday life than the folks in Washington.

And in such a high-stakes election year, we have a chance to win in several must-win down-ballot races, including some in Kansas, which could come down to just a few hundred votes.
