Join us on Sunday, October 27, at 9:30 a.m., for a joint Karla Griego (LAUSD BD5) and Ysabel Jurado (LA City Council CD14) campaign canvass. Everyone is welcome to join the canvass. No experience is needed, we will train you!

As socialists in Los Angeles, we believe it’s important to contextualize these races: Who are these candidates and how did they build power? What are the dynamics of the races they’re running in? Will their priorities build socialism, or at least help the Los Angeles area’s working class? We hope this guide will function as an educational tool to understand what it takes to bring working class power to the County, as well as help you fill out your ballot.

We’re on our way to growing a DSA majority bloc in Burbank City Council, and you need to turn out to secure this major victory in the Valley. A win would bring Burbank life changing tenant protections and transit infrastructure improvements. Join us!

Karla is a parent, teacher, and activist who has been working and organizing at school sites, on picket lines, in town halls, and in the community to bring all of us together to win the schools that Los Angeles deserves. Get involved with our movement and come out and canvass with us!

On October 27th the Karla campaign and the Ysabel campaign are teaming up to canvass Eagle Rock. We need to make sure our supporters are submitting their ballots! Our goal is to have 50 DSA members turn out for this last push to elect more socialists!

Kaiser mental health professionals in Southern California are on strike to win a contract that supports mental health caregivers and their patients. Kaiser has a long history of violating mental health laws and clinical standards.

Let’s support NUHW members at Kaiser on the picket line as they fight for fair pay, increased staffing, and equity in mental health care.

DSA-LA will join the Los Angeles Medical Center picket line from 11 am to 1 pm.
