Because God could not be everywhere, he created mothers.
I know that in this difficult time, many moms out there are putting in extra work to support their children, families, loved ones, and everyone around them. Our moms are many of those providing extra child care, food service and delivery, and homeschooling opportunities. They are also many of our first responders, health care providers, and leaders putting in extra hours to keep our city healthy and safe.
We can always count on our moms to step up and get things done. You know why? Because NOLA moms are strong. And even if it's in person, through a phone call, or video chat — today of all days is a time to celebrate them.
