Jack,

Being a mom isn’t easy. You’re expected to balance parenting, your career and needs, and whatever else is thrown at you.

And now, in the middle of this pandemic, Moms and caretakers are stepping up more than ever—they’re working, parenting, teaching, and keeping themselves and their loved ones safe. That’s what you do when you’re superhuman (and you bet, we are!). You keep stepping up for the people you love. I’m so thankful for all the caretakers I’ve had in my life, starting with my own mom.

To all the fellow moms out there going without their kids’ macaroni necklace and school-required handmade cards this year, thank you. Your work—quite literally—keeps this country moving.

Happy Mother’s Day!

—Maggie
