A new article from The Atlantic reveals that while he was president, Donald Trump offered to pay for the funeral of Vanessa Guillén, a US soldier who had been brutally murdered at Ft. Hood by a fellow servicemember. Upon finding out how much the funeral would cost, the MAGA cult leader reportedly exploded: “It doesn’t cost 60,000 bucks to bury a f*cking Mexican!” Trump then told his chief of staff, Mark Meadows, "Don’t pay it!” Later on, Trump was still complaining: “Can you believe it?” he said, according to a witness. “Fucking people, trying to rip me off.” The disgraced ex-president's utter contempt and disgust for the members of our military is well documented at this point, but this is a disgusting new low even for him. Trump, of course, never ended up paying for the funeral despite telling Guillén's mother he would do so. Georgia Supreme Court maintains block on controversial election rules from Trump allies
In a huge win for democracy, the Georgia state Supreme Court has upheld the block on the pro-Trump state elections board's new rules that would require officials to hand-count every single vote and gave them the power to conduct a "reasonable inquiry" into any votes they thought might be suspect. Nearly five million votes were cast in Georgia during the 2020 election, which means that it could take weeks if not MONTHS before we might know the results of next month's election if officials were required to hand-count ballots — giving Trump plenty of time to dispute the election results, proclaim himself the winner, and foment another January 6-style insurrection with his devious lies. Now, the convicted felon will certainly try to do that again anyway, but at least he won't have help from his cronies in the Georgia state bureaucracy.

Top state GOP official says he plans to flag voters with "Hispanic-sounding" names as "suspicious"
In case there was any doubt as to whether the right-wing "election protection" activist groups had any agenda at all besides stealing the election for Donald Trump, North Carolina GOP party chair James Womack made it clear what he was really all about. "If you've got folks that you, that were registered, and they're missing information… and they were registered in the last 90 days before the election, and they've got Hispanic-sounding last names, that probably is, is a suspicious voter," says Womack in a video obtained by CBS News. Womack believes that "we have corrupt voter lists" and that "citizens, individual citizens have a right to that information and they analyze that information to identify potential illegal or improperly registered people." The state says there's no basis to the notion that the voter lists are "corrupt," but it's clear Womack and his fellow "election protection" activists are living in their MAGA cult leader's world of paranoid delusion...and should be have no role in this election beyond casting their own ballots.

IDF obliterates entire Lebanese apartment complex in shocking airstrike

BBC reporters inspected the hospital and found no evidence of any secret bunker. “It's really shocking to say that Sahel Hospital is affiliated with any party in Lebanon,” said Dr. Alameh, the general manager. “It's a private hospital. It's a teaching hospital for doctors, physicians, and other medical students." Similar claims with unconvincing evidence about secret "terrorist command centers" were made about the al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, which was then subjected to an IDF raid that killed several hundred people, including women and children.

Often coming in $5 or $10 at a time, contributions from this small sampling of donors alone added up to more than $6 million over the last five years — the majority of which ended up with Donald Trump and a long list of other Republican candidates, CNN found. The stories of seniors depleting the savings account they'd spent their whole lives building, all so the disgraced ex-president can spend it on racist ads, are truly heartbreaking.
