We will have a live link with CAFOD’s Sri Lankan partners and discuss how, rooted in faith, we can be Pilgrims of Hope to fight for a better world.

2025 will be a year of Jubilee, in which Pope Francis has called on us to respond to God's call to pursue justice.


Inspired by the last Jubilee in 2000, where many Christians came together to secure cancellation of debts owed by the world’s poorest countries, we want to come together again in this Jubilee year to put our faith into action. So we need you!


At this online event you will:


🙏🏼 Learn about the theological background of the Jubilee Year and why it’s time to tackle the global debt crisis

💰 Hear from debt expert Sandun Thudugala from Sri Lanka about the impact the debt crisis is having on ordinary people

🌍 Be part of a live Q&A with our climate expert who will be joining directly from the COP29 talks in Azerbaijan to tell us what is at stake at this year’s conference

📢 Be inspired by newly elected MP Florence Eshalomi encouraging us to campaign for change in today’s climate.

We hope to see you then! It’s fine to join for just some of the event if you can’t make it all.
