Supporting COLA Increase and Improving Social Security

Beginning in 2025, Social Security beneficiaries will see a 2.5 percent increase in their benefits due to the annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA). While this adjustment helps South Texas seniors make ends meet, it doesn’t address the ongoing financial strain caused by rising prices. Rest assured that I will continue to support legislation like H.R. 4583, the Social Security 2100 Act, which would enhance benefits and ensure that Social Security keeps pace with inflation, delivering the protection and stability our seniors deserve.
