Also of note from the leak is that the United States is actively concerned about and monitoring whether or not Israel will use nuclear weapons in its attack. It is an open secret within Washington and in national security circles that Israel possesses nuclear weapons.
Almost always when a leaker shares a document it is done so with the intention of inciting action. Take for instance Daniel Ellsberg’s leak of the pentagon papers which helped spur the US withdrawal from Vietnam.
The individual who leaked these documents is a hero and the message from these leaks is clear: Israel’s attack on Iran, which could be the opening blow of World War III and cost Democrats the election, is imminent.
Sadly, whereas Daniel Ellsberg had a cadre of aggressive anti-war Democrats who turned his pentagon papers into the policy action of US withdrawal from Vietnam, and even went so far as publishing the leaked documents onto the House record, we have no such analog in 2024.
