Our 2024 ALIGN movement builders demonstrate how much we can accomplish when we work together. Benjamin Arana of IBEW Local 3 has been a critical labor voice in the movement to decarbonize NYC’s polluting buildings. As President of Teamsters Local 804, Vincent Perrone has worked with ALIGN and its coalitions to raise New York’s minimum wage, combat corporate abuse, and win worker protections. New York State Labor Chairs Senator Jessica Ramos and Assemblymember Harry Bronson shepherded our movement’s landmark legislation, including the Warehouse Worker Injury Reduction Act, to victory. MC Council Member Sandy Nurse’s partnership with ALIGN’s Transform Don’t Trash coalition and her most recent bill to install solar power on public buildings is helping us to decarbonize our city and secure good, green jobs.
In my speech, I quoted the late Shirley Chisholm, who taught us if they don't give you a seat at the table, you bring a folding chair. That's what our partners in labor and community have done, and at ALIGN, we've built a table for all of us.
You are a crucial part of this movement. By showing up in Albany, by spreading the word — and by giving generously — you are essential to sustaining our people-powered movement for climate jobs and justice and propelling it forward.
With more ambitious work on the horizon — fighting to win green and healthy schools, transforming the solid waste industry, securing safer workplaces, and raising the wage — ALIGN is grateful to have all of our amazing partners at our side. Can we count on you to be by our side with a donation today?

In solidarity, and with our deepest thanks,
