I’m reaching out to ask you to split a contribution between Jahana Hayes’ campaign in CT-05 and my re-election.

Early voting started yesterday, and Jahana is getting outspent. Republicans are running over $3 million in ads against her. It’s an astonishing amount for this district.

Please consider splitting a donation of any amount between her campaign and mine. We don’t have to match their spending, but we need to keep it close. A dollar to her campaign goes a lot farther than a dollar for the far-right super PACs.

Look, I know a lot of people look at Connecticut as a blue state, but that’s just not the case in this district.

Back in 1996, I managed a Congressional race that covered much of the same turf. We came up short by just 1,587 votes in one of the closest races in the country.

It took another decade until I ran as a candidate and finally flipped Connecticut’s 5th district myself. Still today, CT-05 is one of the toughest districts in the country.

Jahana won in 2022 by just 1,842 votes. I know firsthand that this race cannot be taken for granted. I’m doing everything I can to support her and turn out the voters she and I need to win. But I’m counting on you to have our back too. Please.

Split a contribution of any amount between Jahana Hayes’ re-election and mine to help us hold the Senate and flip the House. Every dollar will be put to work immediately to get as many people to the polls today as possible.
