I wanted to pass along my latest update on what I have been doing to fight for you, Texas’ 21st Congressional District, and our country as a whole:
Demanding a full accounting of criminal aliens released
The Biden-Harris administration has imported Venezuelan illegal aliens at an alarming rate, allowing criminals — including the gang Tren de Aragua (TdA) — to gain a foothold in Texas and communities throughout the United States.
That’s why Senator Ted Cruz and I are demanding a full accounting of all the criminal aliens this administration has let into our country. Texans, and the American people deserve better.

Huge win for San Antonio!
Last week’s announcement is a long-awaited and well-deserved victory for the people of San Antonio, the surrounding region, and our nation’s military and veterans. This nonstop flight between San Antonio and Washington Reagan Airport is the direct result of a yearslong, hard-fought battle to secure the legislative language necessary to make this happen in the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024.
For far too long, residents of America's seventh-largest city — including the tens of thousands of active duty servicemembers and veterans in Military City USA — were denied a direct, nonstop flight to our nation’s capital for no other reason than outdated legislation and crony protectionism. I have relentlessly fought for a nonstop flight between San Antonio and Washington Reagan Airport in the House of Representatives. I am grateful for Senator Ted Cruz and his steadfast leadership, members of the San Antonio congressional delegation, and American Airlines for working to break through the gridlock and deliver this much-needed improvement for San Antonio.

The House of Representatives is inviting students across the country to show off their skills and design their very own app for the Congressional App Challenge. Learn more about how to apply here. The deadline to submit an app project is Thursday, October 24th, 2024.
