Shifting Terrain by Building Community

We are still thinking about Take Back Tech II. Co-hosted by Mijente, MediaJustice was proud to have convened over 400 people in Chicago this past June, creating community and collective joy while strengthening strategic plans on how to take down the collusion of Big Media and Tech. We’ve said it once, and we’ll say it again: convenings like Take Back Tech II are unprecedented in the movement space.

That’s why we are dedicated to creating convening spaces like Take Back Tech with our new strategy, Shifting Terrain. We are devoted to continuing to host community-building and strategy-expansive spaces for all of us to reclaim narrative power and build the media and tech landscape our people deserve. We need to enable the field to take on fights with the clarity and power needed to accomplish durable wins that weaken the power of the tech and media industry while strengthening the power of the movement field.
