Friend,
I was sorting through old pictures with my daughter the other day and she saw
a photo of me before I was injured in Afghanistan.
She said to me: “Dad, I think you look better now.”
Her precious words were a good reminder – my scars aren’t just cosmetic damage…
They are a deep part of who I am & my story.
They paint a picture of my service and commitment to my country – but more
than that, they’re proof that struggle & sacrifice & pain are beautiful and not
something to be avoided.
When I think about my scars I feel a deep kinship with my country – America
has been scarred too.
Our great country has been beat-up and bloodied – but through each struggle
she emerges more beautiful than before.
The founders waged a bloody war to create an idea – an experiment – to prove
that freedom flourishes & tyranny destroys.
Against the odds and despite the challenges – America emerged more victorious
and more beautiful than before.
Our union was nearly torn apart by the great evil of slavery – 620,000
soldiers fell during the Civil War.
America ended two World Wars, demolished the Soviet Union, and stands today as
a shining city on a hill to which the whole world looks for leadership and
guidance.
Through it all, the beautiful scars America has developed are proof that our
country is the greatest, most benevolent, and freest nation in the history of
mankind.
It’s to that country, and the people whom she represents, I have pledged my
life, my service, my body, mind, and soul.
As long as there is breath in my lungs and blood flowing through my veins, I
will never stop fighting to make sure that America’s future is bright and
beautiful.
And I’d be honored beyond explanation to receive your support in my mission to
continue my service to America as the next United States Senator from Nevada.
With the heart of a dedicated veteran and servant to our country I have a
request for you:

Would you consider supporting my mission today?

Flip Nevada, flip the Senate. It’s that simple. Experts in both parties agree
that the path for Democrats to maintain their Senate majority becomes near to
impossible if we win this race. Can I count on your help to break Chuck
Schumer’s majority and return control of D.C. to conservatives?
TAKE BACK THE SENATE
