Indivisibles,
When polling is this extraordinarily, unprecedentedly close, pundits talk
about the race being within the margin of error. Activists talk about the
race being with the margin of effort -- our ground game to knock doors,
make calls, and get every last voter to the polls.
Trump has outsourced his ground game almost entirely to a guy who spends
his days posting memes and screaming at advertisers fleeing his crumbling
social media website: Elon Musk.
Musk’s big idea? Pay people in swing states to spread a petition. Promise
a chance to win a million bucks. Naively assume that wily Democrats aren’t
just sharing the petition with liberal friends and then donating the money
to Kamala Harris. Pray it’s all legal ([ [link removed] ]it might not be). And in the
end, his super PAC will have...an email list they've put together two
weeks before the election.
So if you’re looking for some hope today, here it is: Trump’s ground game
is incredibly weak. And ours is strong. We have an actual plan (not just a
concept of a plan) to get Kamala Harris into the White House with a
Democratic Congress to pass her agenda. We have tens of thousands of
people volunteering without the promise of a $1 million check.
But this thing is still going to be close. We need everyone reading this
to take another phone bank, knock a few more doors, and gear up for one
last push to the finish line -- with your energy and passion, we’re gonna
win this thing.
With that, read on for your weekly to-dos:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your 5 weekly to-dos
1. [ [link removed] ]If you’re eligible, sign up for Neighbor2Neighbor. Our innovative
Neighbor2Neighbor program is twice as effective as traditional
door-to-door canvassing, connecting you with 10 likely-Democratic
voters right in your neighborhood. We’ve knocked 162,000 doors so
far, and are well within reach of our goal of 200,000. Sign up and
get your first 10 names today!
2. [ [link removed] ]Call voters in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, October 22 at 6pm ET/3pm
PT. This entire election could come down to PA and Kamala’s lead over
Trump in the Keystone State is narrow -- help widen that gap by
calling voters in Pennsylvania with Indivisible.
3. [ [link removed] ]Call-o-ween! Call NY voters on Wednesday, October 30 at 6pm ET/3pm
PT. The path to taking back the House runs through New York. Let’s
scare the pants off of MAGA Republicans by joining fellow
Indivisibles for our Call-o-ween phonebank to call voters to support
Harris/Walz and congressional candidates Laura Gillen (NY-04),
Mondaire Jones (NY-17), and Josh Riley (NY-19).
4. [ [link removed] ]Mobilize voters in North Carolina on Sunday, Nov 3 at 1pm ET/10am
PT. Trump won NC in 2020 by an incredibly slim margin and recent
polls show that his lead over Harris in the state is nominal. Join us
in contacting NC voters to make sure they turn out for Kamala and Tim
-- the voters we contact now could push this purple state in the
right direction!
5. [ [link removed] ]Join Indivisible co-founders Ezra Levin and Leah Greenberg for a
special pre-election coffee klatch on Monday, November 4 at 3pm ET to
take a deep breath and plan for Election Day (before knocking a few
more doors or doing one more phonebanking shift)! Leah and Ezra will
talk about what to expect, what information to consume and how to
interpret returns.
P.S. We don't have a billionaire cutting million-dollar checks for us --
and we don't need one. We know we can win this fight with grassroots
organizing fueled by grassroots dollars. So if you've completed your
to-do's and you're looking for one more action you can take this
week, [ [link removed] ]please consider pitching in to help us recruit more volunteers
and reach more voters.

Upcoming Week of Action
Indivisibles are going all in November 1 - November 5 for our Every Last
Door Week of Action. During these crucial last days, we are asking group
leaders, activists, and volunteers to get out the vote for Kamala Harris
and Tim Walz, and Democrats up and down the ballot by knocking on doors in
their own neighborhoods or contacting voters in critical battleground
states. [ [link removed] ]Check out our toolkit for everything you need to know, and
let’s get out there and knock some doors!

Women Wednesdays for Harris
[ [link removed] ]Register for our last Women Wednesdays for Harris before the election
-- next Wednesday at 8:30pm ET/5:30pm PT.
NOTE: There will be no Women Wednesdays for Harris call this week, but
we’ll be back next Wednesday, October 30 with Representatives Becca Balint
and Lisa Blunt Rochester, along with Michelle Buteau, Susan McPherson, and
Kelley Robinson to get everyone pumped for the final days of GOTV (get out
the vote).
This will be our last Women Wednesdays for Harris ahead of the election,
so be sure to join in!

Demand Your Members of Congress Call For a Ceasefire
**Content Warning: Talk about the current humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Jump to the line break if you need to avoid this topic.**
Over the weekend, [ [link removed] ]four Oxfam-affiliated water engineers were killed in
Gaza by an Israeli military strike while on their way to repair critical
water infrastructure.
Since the start of the Israeli government’s military campaign,
[ [link removed] ]hundreds of aid workers in Gaza have been killed by airstrikes --
engineers, people delivering food, and others who were providing essential
services to keep Gaza’s fragile infrastructure running -- and their deaths
only exacerbate what is already a catastrophic crisis.
Despite coordinating their plans with Israeli authorities, despite being
in a clearly-marked vehicle, the Oxfam engineers are now among the latest
casualties of this conflict. If they were not safe, no one in Gaza is
safe. Not humanitarian workers, not Palestinian civilians, not the
hostages.
Attacks on humanitarian aid workers are a violation of international
humanitarian law, and the United States is obligated to ensure our own
foreign assistance does not support such violations. The US must withhold
offensive weapons transfers to the Israeli military -- to uphold our legal
obligations, and to prevent further fueling a humanitarian disaster. We
need de-escalation and a ceasefire to save lives and bring all hostages
home. Contact your members of Congress today and demand they take a
stand.
