In case you missed it, friend, we were in court last week defending DACA recipients' access to health care.
As we wait to hear back from the courts, we wanted to share this brief message from Dania Quezada, a DACA recipient and lead intervenor in our case.
Watch her story to see what access to care — and this fight — mean to her:

Friend,
I’m writing to you from North Dakota, where we are in court today fighting to protect DACA recipients’ access to health care. After years of advocacy, DACA recipients are finally eligible to enroll in health insurance plans under the Affordable Care Act Marketplace. With open enrollment just around the corner, anti-immigrant politicians are trying to unjustly cut off young people from lifesaving care. We will not allow this attack to go unchallenged.
In our case, we proudly represent individual DACA recipients and CASA, a leading immigrants’ rights organization, alongside our co-counsel, Gibson Dunn. This fight is for the health, safety, and dignity of over 100,000 DACA recipients who finally have a path to enroll in affordable health care. With open enrollment starting on November 1, DACA recipients are ready to access the health coverage they have long been denied.
As we’re at the hearing in North Dakota today, we need your support from your hometown. Stand in solidarity with DACA recipients and let us know you’re with us by adding your voice below.
STAND WITH US
Allowing people to access the health care they need to live full and vibrant lives is a common sense, win-win situation. When people — no matter where we are born, how much money we have, or the color of our skin — feel our best, we can do our best, whether that means caring for loved ones, pursuing careers, or giving back to our communities.
Thank you for standing with our courageous clients and other DACA recipients across the country.
