The election is just two weeks away, and polls show the race between
Harris and Trump is tightening. Statistically the most committed
demographic to vote Democratic, American Jews are holding their breath –
me included.

Our community cares deeply about a range of priorities, all of which are
on the ballot this year. Preserving democracy and restoring reproductive
freedom are at the top of that list – priorities upended by Trump and his
MAGA movement.

We also care deeply about Israel, its future and the safety of Israelis
and Palestinians. While the right attempts to win us over with false and
absurd promises that ever-escalating war can deliver peace, we know that
the security and democracies of both the US and Israel will be best
protected by our pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy allies.

This Wednesday, I’ll sit down with Jewish Democratic Council of America
CEO Halie Soifer, renowned political strategist Simon Rosenberg and
pollster Jim Gerstein to unpack the role American Jews are playing in one
of the most consequential elections for our community – and for all
Americans and people affected by US policy – in our lifetime.

In our bones, we know a vote for Trump is a vote for extremism. He fuels
antisemitic conspiracies, repeatedly tells us to get our “heads examined”
and recently sunk so low as to blame his potential loss on Jewish voters.
And there’s little doubt that a second Trump presidency would only deepen
insecurity for Israelis and all civilians across the region. It was Trump,
after all, who dismantled the Iran Nuclear Deal, widely lauded as a
triumph for peace and security in the Middle East.

Vice President Kamala Harris stands in stark contrast. She’s a fighter for
our community and nuanced, empathetic pro-Israel politics. That’s why poll
after poll shows that the American Jewish voting bloc has her back.

Together, we’ll walk through how our American Jewish community is
responding to all that’s at stake. I hope to see you in a couple of days
