Duty and service have been cornerstones of my life and are two of the most essential qualities of a public servant. 

 

My friend Jonathan Nez exemplifies those values. One of many examples is when he put his community ahead of politics by taking decisive action to save lives during COVID-19 as President of the Navajo Nation. 

 

Leadership requires doing the right thing -- even when it's hard -- and I know I can count on Jonathan to put what's right above political games every time.
