Friend,
From Gaza to Lebanon to Ukraine to Sudan, horrific scenes of violence have flashed across our phones and TV screens. There are more conflicts in the world today than there have been at any time since World War II — and civilians are being caught in the crossfire.
For countless families, death, injury, displacement, hunger, water scarcity, and loss of income due to violent conflict have been facts of life. In countries across the globe, Mercy Corps is on the ground to provide immediate relief to families in urgent need.
Today, we are asking you to make a donation that can help us go up to 5X as far for families in crisis. When you make
a gift,
we’ll combine every dollar you give with an average of $4 in public grants to multiply our impact in communities around the world. Will you make a gift now to help families facing conflict and disaster?

Here are a few examples of work we’re doing in communities facing conflict.

In the Middle East, since October 2023, more than 1.9 million people have been displaced in Gaza and more than 1 million people have been displaced in Lebanon. In the past year, Mercy Corps has provided support to over 190,000 people in Gaza, including emergency cash, food and hygiene kits, and psychosocial support for young people. In Lebanon, Mercy Corps has distributed essential items including hot meals, food baskets, and hygiene kits to meet the urgent needs of 5,700 displaced families in 44 villages in Lebanon’s South and Nabatieh governorates. |

In Sudan, more than 25 million people are suffering amid the world’s largest hunger crisis as extreme violence sweeps through the country. Mercy Corps is providing emergency supplies, including food and clean water, and working with farmers to use climate-resilient practices to improve their crop yield. |

In Northwest Syria, after more than a decade of conflict, more than 7 million Syrians remain internally displaced. Mercy Corps is providing essential supplies to families who have fled from violence including water and sanitation services, food, and shelter. With more than 90% of people living in poverty, we are also working to improve the livelihoods of Syrians through entrepreneurship and job training. |

Around the world, Mercy Corps is working side-by-side with communities facing the most complex challenges — poverty, hunger, water scarcity, and conflict — to build a pathway to new opportunities. Together, we can go 5X as far for families in crisis worldwide. Please amplify your impact by making a gift today.
Thank you,
The Mercy Corps team
