Important update about state-level elections: Democrats are being outraised in state-legislative races across the country. Vox recently reported that for the first half of this year, Democrats were outraised nearly 2:1 in those critical contests.

You know how important it is that we elect pro-democracy leaders into these seats. They shape policy that either protects or dismantles our most fundamental freedoms, including reproductive rights, protections for the LGBTQ+ community, and, of course, voting rights.

Despite being critical to protecting our democracy, these state-level races are historically underfunded and can be decided by just hundreds of votes. We’ve seen huge fundraising numbers in the presidential race recently, but we need to make sure our state-level candidates have the resources they need to win in November.
