At ARC, we know our work saves lives. Once on a very different path, our Members now dedicate themselves to protecting the communities they had  previously harmed.

Take Carlos Gallegos, one of 142 ARC Members who have secured employment as firefighters through our Ventura Fire Fighter Training Program. After years of incarceration, today Carlos is bravely fighting wildfires and saving lives across California.

Here’s how he describes his journey:

    “Nowadays I hold my head up high and take pride in everything I do because what I do has value that I truly appreciate. I’m no longer hurting the community; I’m giving back to it. I’m constantly humbled when I see my friends, family, and strangers thank me for my service. I get a bit embarrassed by it to be honest.”
