John,
Brigid is right – we shouldn’t excuse immoral behavior just because a Democrat is doing it. When Amy Kennedy accepted blood money from these private prison contractors, she showed us how she'll act in Congress.
Jeff Van Drew turned his back on the Democratic party and abandoned his constituents. Our Democratic nominee needs to be someone who believes in our party’s platform – not another sellout who will do or say anything when it benefits them personally.
If you stand with Brigid and our party’s platform, please rush a grassroots donation to support her campaign.
Thanks so much for your help.
-Team Brigid
**ORIGINAL MESSAGE**

John,
Throughout this campaign, I’ve tried to stay focused on the way Jeff Van Drew turned his back on voters and the criminal actions of Donald Trump. I believe that when you see something that goes against our values – it’s important to speak up.
In the latest fundraising reports, my opponent accepted thousands from Wellpath – a private for-profit prison contractor that’s the subject of more than 1,395 federal lawsuits, including 70 wrongful death lawsuits.
Wellpath saw ICE detention centers, private prisons, and jails as a money-making opportunity. They used their political connections to get contracts – then they provided terrible care to maximize profits for their shareholders. People died and their stock price skyrocketed.
Now, they see a chance to buy another member of Congress. I’m calling on my opponent to return these contributions and apologize to the voters. If you agree, sign my petition demanding she return this blood money.
Sign the petition to Brigid’s opponent: return Wellpath’s blood money.
It’s important for voters to know where the candidates stand. We’ve already been let down by turncoat Jeff Van Drew – we can’t afford another Democrat-in-name-only. Help me share my message so voters know where we stand.
Thanks so much for your support.
-Brigid
