Hey, this is a slightly longer email than I usually write, but I hope you will take the time to read it.

It’s no secret that Republicans put the interests of the most powerful (usually their big-wig donors) above ordinary folks. I have seen it happen time and again in some of the most despicable ways.

From rushing through extremist right-wing judges and threatening to gut our health care system, to Trump fumbling the federal response to this ongoing crisis and refusing to help those in need — the GOP agenda is dangerous.

Look, I got into politics to fight for the issues that matter most to everyday families, like access to quality, affordable health care, good-paying jobs, protecting the right to vote, and building an economy that works for everyone.

But it’s clear Republicans like Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, and my opponent Jason Lewis have a very different set of values. They refuse to take these issues — and this pandemic — seriously.

Trump dragged his feet on providing relief to American families because, evidently, late-night tweetstorms and chaotic evening briefings filled with misinformation were at the top of his to-do list. McConnell says states should go bankrupt rather than get further federal help through this crisis.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg. My opponent made the dangerous decision to resume in-person campaign events and has called for Minnesota to prematurely reopen — ignoring health officials’ warnings and endangering the lives of our health care professionals, first responders, seniors, and countless others.

I’m determined to keep Minnesota away from the GOP’s dangerous grasp. But if I’m honest, we have a very tough fight ahead of us. Republicans will do whatever it takes to flip Minnesota red and defeat me to hold onto their majority in Washington, so I’m asking for your help today:

I’m at my wit’s end when it comes to Trump and his administration dragging their feet on giving folks the support they need. I’m even more fed up when they choose to bail out big corporations and their wealthy friends — on the backs of ordinary folks.

We can’t let them and their dangerous agenda take hold in Minnesota or anywhere else for that matter. With your help, we can win re-election, take back the Senate for Democrats, and put power back in the hands of the people.
