"I called this maternity home and explained how much this mom wants a 'do over,'" Cathy recounted. "They were willing to talk to her in spite of her past."
After a phone interview, Cathy drove the expectant mother hours away to an in-person interview. The conversation went well, and the maternity home agreed to take the mom in.
"We got her things from the ghetto apartment she was staying in previously," Cathy shared. "While we were there, we saw her pimp and literally had to run away from him."
While the mother--suffering from extreme nausea--prepared to move into the maternity home, Cathy set up a doctor's appointment, picked up a prescription, and acquired food and supplies for her.
When Cathy brought the mom to the maternity home, the two women parted with hugs and tears.
"She's so happy," Cathy said. "I know she will be so loved on. Praise God this woman is in a stable, loving environment--what a beautiful start for a new life for this mom!"
