This is the darkest day in recent Department of Justice history, Friend – and that is saying something.
While our country is focused on the devastation of the coronavirus pandemic, Attorney General William Barr's Justice Department has dropped the criminal case against Donald Trump's former National Security Adviser, Michael Flynn.
Never mind that Flynn lied to federal investigators about his contact with the Russian ambassador during the 2016 election – even when they gave him multiple opportunities to correct his statements. Never mind that he admitted this when he pleaded guilty. TWICE.
Democracies become autocratic when officials in power use crises to cover up their flagrant disrespect for the rule of law. And this unprecedented politicization of federal law enforcement is perhaps the most brazen assault on the independence and integrity of the Justice Department to date.
Attorney General Barr is all too eager to act as Donald Trump's political henchman. That's why I'm calling for his immediate resignation, and I need you to speak out alongside me today:
Will you sign my petition to demand Attorney General Barr's immediate resignation for decimating the integrity of the Justice Department?

Donald Trump made it clear from the very beginning that he wanted an Attorney General who would do his bidding and skirt any and all accountability for the rampant corruption of this administration. Barr has more than delivered.
For the sake of our democracy, it's absolutely critical for each and every one of us to speak truth to this abuse of power by demanding Attorney General Barr step down immediately:
Click here to sign my petition calling for Attorney General Barr's resignation. He must not be allowed to continue using the power of the Justice Department to do the political bidding of Donald Trump.

Thank you for speaking out on this urgent matter,
Dick
