We’re now just days from Election Day, with early voting numbers skyrocketing in key states like Georgia, North Carolina, and Nevada. Our volunteers are on the ground and working virtually, reaching out to voters wherever they are. One of our dedicated volunteers in Pennsylvania, Jesse H. shared a powerful story about the impact of his work:
“I’m not a traditionally religious man, but the 2024 election feels like the perfect time to reflect on faith. Faith is believing in something we don’t fully understand—whether it’s science, relationships, or even each other. It’s about trusting our coworkers, our partners, and our communities to do the right thing, despite imperfections. In these challenging times, that faith in each other is what keeps us strong.
Since COVID-19, my faith has been tested, but it’s also been rewarded. Volunteering alongside people from all walks of life—retirees who could relax at home, academics who’d rather focus on their research, and even former Republican political consultants who left behind lucrative careers—is one of the greatest honors of my life. These individuals have chosen to dedicate their time to something greater than themselves, even when it comes with personal sacrifice.
This election, we must decide where to place our faith. Do we trust in our fellow citizens, our scientists, our public servants, and our electoral system? Or do we put our faith in a man who never takes responsibility, who blames others for his mistakes, and who sows division? Our history proves that when we believe in each other, we achieve remarkable things. Let’s choose to put our faith in each other once again.”
