Hi,
I am Jaclyn, I co-founded Audry Rose with my husband 9 years ago.
I know this is WAY off topic, but I wanted to start writing personal blog posts from time to time. I have started and stopped my personal emails in the past, but I am hoping to do these once a month. A few weeks back my husband, a friend, and I hiked Mount Whitney, the tallest mountain in the contiguous United States! I was inspired by Jesse Itzler, who introduced me to the concept of a Misogi. The idea is every year you should have one year-defining project (examples are run a marathon, write a book, quit smoking).
The past couple of years, while my kids were toddlers, it felt like my yearly project was to survive.
The concept is, if you put something big on your calendar, it forces you to make time for yourself. If you do something big every year, you will look back on your life and many accomplishments and feats to be proud of. I can’t say that my whole year revolved around climbing Mt Whitney, and I did not spend as much time training as I would have liked, but this is my first attempt at a Misogi!
Here is our Journey
