This week President Trump stated that states “run by Democrats” are poorly governed and don’t deserve increased federal funding to combat the novel coronavirus.

Likewise, Senator Mitch McConnell called this aid a "blue state bailout," adding that states should file for bankruptcy instead of receiving emergency cash.

On top of that, Susan Collins co-authored and pushed for Trump and McConnell’s Paycheck Protection Program that excluded 84% of small businesses in her home state of Maine from receiving any relief. It’s clear that Collins cares more about representing her party than her own state.
