Who would call Taylor Swift anti-Semitic?
Bend the Arc: Jewish Action is a left-leaning nonprofit with a history of calling Republicans anti-Semitic, particularly if they criticize George Soros. Liberal singer Taylor Swift joined that privileged group after criticizing the Soros family for its role in a messy dispute over the rights to her music. Jewish Action predictably responded by accusing her of anti-Semitism. CRC's Ashley Rae Goldenberg digs deeper here.

Did an SEIU union fall for a coronavirus scam?
In late March, the Service Employees International Union United Healthcare Workers West announced that it had found 39 million highly protective N95 respirators amid a national shortage. When the feds and medical professionals were skeptical, the SEIU responded from the union playbook by attacking the critics' motives. Unfortunately for the SEIU, there was a problem: The masks didn't exist. CRC's Michael Watson takes a stroll through this SEIU debacle here.

Which is worse? Mob money or corrupt corporate money?
Investigating the Philip and Janice Levin Foundation, Parker Thayer follows the money trail back to a well-known mafia "wise guy," albeit an unconvicted one. Tracing the money in the other direction, Thayer finds the foundation's political giving seems to fund media smear campaigns against several conservative groups --who without irony are accused of receiving support from corrupt corporate money. What historic figure inspired the domestic terroristists of the Weather Underground?
"John Brown! Live like him!" was the rallying cry of the Weather Underground. CRC's Ken Braun examines the Weather Underground's failure to measure up its hero, who helped incite the Civil War. All the Weather Underground could claim is an inept bombing campaign that killed no one (except for three of its own members in an accidental explosion). Granted, none of them were hung for treason like Brown, much less prosecuted for their violent acts. Braun explains here.

Last week, the Pulitzer Prizes awarded the prize for Commentary to Nikole Hannah-Jones, the architect of the New York Times’ controversial and factually suspect “1619 Project,” a nominally historical exercise to re-center the origins of the United States on the first arrival of Africans in Virginia. In this episode, host Mike Watson interviews his CRC colleague Ken Braun, who wrote the InfluenceWatch.org profile on the 1619 Project. They discuss the project itself, the criticisms of prominent--in some cases, Pulitzer-Prize-winning--historians of the Project, and the goals of the Project’s supporters.
