Hey John, Sofia here, NextGen’s Distributed Organizing Director.

I wish I could say I’m reaching out to share my favorite pozole recipe. Instead, I’m here to let you know about an existential threat to our immigrant communities.

If you don’t already know, Project 2025 is the white nationalist policy playbook designed to dismantle our democracy brick by brick. In its 900 pages, it lays out plans to tear families apart by destroying critical programs like DACA, Humanitarian Parole, and Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

These relief programs have been a lifeline for immigrants like me. We’re able to work, go to school, and live our normal everyday lives because of these programs. But as a former DACA recipient, I know just how drastically Project 2025 would have impacted me.

If Donald Trump gets elected, Project 2025 will dissolve the protections that keep ICE from making deportations and detentions in schools, hospitals, and even places of worship. Their goal is to make us feel unsafe everywhere, John. Whether we’re at home, at work, or at school, anti-democracy zealots want to fill our lives with fear.

I refuse to live my life in the shadows, and I WILL NOT live in fear. So I’m reaching out to you personally to ask if you’ll take a stand and pledge to vote against Donald Trump in this election. Lives are literally on the line in this race, John: [link removed]
