Here’s the plain truth, friend: Democrats simply cannot hold the Senate majority unless my friend Debbie Mucarsel-Powell flips Florida blue this November.

Debbie grew up in a one room apartment, and her mother — an immigrant from Ecuador — worked tirelessly to provide a better life for Debbie and her sisters, so they could achieve their American dream. I grew up with six brothers and sisters in a two room house in Jacksonville. My mom worked as a maid, and my dad was a janitor. We both know what it means to work hard and persevere.

Debbie and I also grew up working minimum wage jobs, and yet we went on to serve in Congress together. We've dedicated our careers to public service because we want every Floridian to have the opportunities we had — to ensure the American dream is within reach for each and every one of them.

Experts everywhere are saying this will be one of the most competitive — and expensive — races in the country. I know that Debbie can win and deliver the leadership Florida deserves, but only with the power of a grassroots movement fueled by people like you, friend.
