Find out if you are eligible and receive assistance in applying for your certificate on Monday, October 21 in downtown DC.

John,

If you have a federal conviction for simple marijuana possession, you may have already been pardoned by President Biden! However, if you want proof of your pardon for potential employers or anyone else who may be looking into your background, you’ll need an official pardon certificate.

Join Legal Aid DC on Monday, October 21 from 12:30-3:30pm ET for free legal assistance to determine your eligibility and obtain your pardon certificate from the Department of Justice.

No one should be criminalized for responsible cannabis use, or suffer the lifelong collateral consequences of an arrest record. While a pardon does not erase that record like an expungement would, it can go a long way toward minimizing the harms that cannabis convictions can cause in your life.

If you are currently facing marijuana-related criminal charges or seeking conviction relief, please make sure to consult NORML’s nationwide network of legal professionals for help.
