Early voting begins this week.
In-person early voting runs October 21-November 1.
Election Day is November 5.
It's more than just the Presidential race on the ballot. U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz is being challenged by U.S. Rep. Colin Allred in his re-election bid. Congressional races and state legislature battles are at stake. And in some areas, tax increases are on the ballot as well.

Featured Texas Prisons Ban Sexually Explicit Content While Schools Keep It Accessible [[link removed]]

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice bans sexually explicit books from state prisons, but some public school libraries enable children to access those same books.
According to TDCJ’s policy, inmates are not allowed to obtain magazines or books that contain “graphic presentations of sexual behavior that violates the law, such as rape, incest, sex with a minor, bestiality, or necrophilia,” or sexually explicit images.
A list from the TDCJ—which included more than 10,000 books—designated books such as “Flamer,” “Gender Queer,” and “Blankets” among the sexually explicit materials denied to inmates.
