Become a grassroots co-cosigner to end a $135 billion tax scam for millionaires.

Tell Congress:

"In the midst of a pandemic, it’s critical Congress put aid and resources where the need is greatest. We demand that you repeal the $135 billion tax break for 43,000 millionaire business owners and instead direct that aid to people, families and communities most in need."

John,

Did you know that hidden deep in the $2.2 trillion CARES Act was an obscure $135 billion tax break for the richest 1% in our country. It didn't get there by accident!

This measure was slipped in by Senate Republicans to benefit millionaire business owners and Trump's wealthy friends. This tax giveaway will hand 43,000 millionaires an average of $1.6 million tax break!

Add your name! Join CHN and our allies to become a grassroot co-signer of new legislation to repeal the $135 billion tax cut for millionaires that was tucked into the $2.2 trillion CARES Act.

Rep. Lloyd Doggett and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse introduced legislation that would unwind this tax scam. Across this nation, people line up for hours to get packages of food. More than 33 million people have lost their jobs, with likely more to come. When our economic security is crumbling, the last thing we need is a $135 billion tax break for millionaires.

Protecting our health and safety, preventing poverty, rebuilding our economythat’s what we need $135 billion fornot more tax breaks for millionaires.

We have urgent needs in this country. Take a look at this headline from the New York Times Friday morning.

April's job losses highlight the depth of the pandemic's devastation

CHN has joined with a national coalition of advocacy groups to repeal this outrageous $135 billion tax giveaway. Instead of giving billions of dollars to millionaires, we are going to put that aid where the need is greatest.

But we can't do it alone. We need to combine our voices to send a clear signal to Congress.

Add your name! Become a grassroots co-signer of H.R. 6579 and S. 3640 to repeal $135 billion in tax breaks for some of the richest people in this country.

Throughout this pandemic, CHN will continue to fight for policies that address the needs of struggling families, the poor, and other vulnerable people throughout our country—whether that’s additional direct payments or increased access to affordable, quality healthcare.

We will also stand guard to prevent outrageous tax-giveaways to the wealthiest people in this country. Thank you for your support during this difficult time.
