Friend,
I hope you and your family are doing well. In what’s becoming a recurring note, I wanted to take a moment to provide you some good news from this past week. I hope it lifts your spirits as much as it does mine.
- The Paycheck Protection Program I voted for is helping small businesses in Oklahoma survive difficult economic times and keep workers on payroll. Since the start of the program, more than 20,000 loans have been approved with Oklahoma businesses receiving almost $5.5 billion in relief.
- To date, the CARES Act I voted for has provided Oklahoma's hospitals and rural health clinics over $500 million in aid.
- Parts of our state are reopening after meeting required guidelines for a consistent, declining number of coronavirus cases. You can learn more about the guidelines, and how we will move to the next phase here.
- Economic impact stimulus payments continue to be distributed. You can check the status of your payment here.
- Wholesale giant Costco is exploring opening a new operations center in Oklahoma City that would add more than 1,000 jobs over the next three years.
If you have a positive story to share, please be sure to send it my way. I look forward to reading it!
God bless you and your family.
Jim
